This is an election year -and tonight the Jersey Proud vote is for “Mr. Sal.”

The Scotch Plains Town Council just recognized Salvatore Gano. Mr. Sal, as he is affectionately called, is the custodian at Evergreen Elementary. He's now in the finals of the Cintas Custodian of the Year contest.

Mr. Sal is recognized for his 33 years of dedication to the Scotch Plains-Fanwood community. He's up against nine other finalists from around the country.

The winner gets $10,000 and a free trip to Vegas. Click HERE to vote for him.
