Jersey Proud: Edison firefighters shave their heads for charity

The three members raised $4,100 – more than $1,000 each. The whole event raised more than $40,000.

If someone offered you $100 to shave your head, would you do it? How about $1,000?

Some firefighters brought in the money, but none of it is going to them.

Edison firefighters Wayne Enoch, Kevin Campbell and Gavin Kasperski shaved their heads as part of North Plainfield’s St. Baldrick’s event to raise money for childhood cancer.

The three members raised $4,100 – more than $1,000 each. The whole event raised more than $40,000.

The donations will support childhood cancer research across the country.
