There is a life-changing program for veterans that is doing some “Jersey Proud” work in Ocean County.

The program is called “Building Homes for Heroes.”

In Manchester Township, Bertalan Gonci and his wife are moving into a brand-new home. Gonci served 20 years in the Army.

The couple’s new home is courtesy of the Building Homes for Heroes effort. It's a mortgage-free thank you to those who served.

The group has built close to 500 houses for veterans.
