Residents, patients and hospital workers at Cooper Medical School in Camden walked around the block as part of the 10th annual Sickle Cell Awareness Walk.
Signs in hand, they went for a stroll, trying to get the word out about how serious the condition can be.
It overwhelmingly affects African Americans. Life expectancy is 20 years shorter for those who have it.
This walk is a push to make sure people get tested.
