There aren’t many reasons to stay awake for 24 straight hours. Making meals for the community is one good one.

Over 1,200 volunteers put in a full day’s work to pack more than 250,000 meals for the Community Food Bank’s annual Pack-a-thon.

“Hunger didn’t sleep and neither did we,” the group wrote on Facebook.

Overall, they packed 265,000 meals.
