Two New Jersey high schools took home trophies at the Penn Relays this weekend.
Only the best were on the track at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, including Chatham High School’s relay team.
They competed in the 4 x 800 race, where senior Ryan Beegle lunged for the tape and just edged out a runner representing Jamaica. This was Morris County’s first Champions of America trophy in 15 years.
The girls 4 x 800 team at Union Catholic High School also dominated and won their championship.
