A wintry weather mix hit the Garden State Thursday and could worsen throughout the day.
Precipitation could turn to snow, sleet and freezing rain later in the day if the temperatures drop. Forecasters say there's a possibility of being hit with as much as six inches of snow or a half-inch of ice.
Sussex and Passaic residents are readying themselves for the season's first real blast of wintry weather. Some go as far as to say they'd welcome it.
"I can't wait for snow," says Scott Vance, from the Plaza Barber Shop in Sparta. "It puts people in a good mood around here."
Winter weather advisories are in effect for Passaic and Bergen counties.
