Jersey City is looking to boost safety mandates for inspections of all of its high-rise buildings on the heels of the deadly collapse in Florida.
Mayor Steve Fulop says the buildings would require a minimum of every five years for facade inspections, and every 10 for structural.
The new legislation will be presented next Wednesday at a City Council meeting.
