The summer swelter continued Saturday during the seventh annual Jazz Festival in Montclair.
About 8,000 people turned out at Nishuane Park despite brutal temperatures and humidity.
The festival started at noon and featured talented jazz musicians for 8 ½ hours.
Many took sanctuary in the park's cooling center.
