It’s raining…again. And somehow it makes the quarantine feel worse

It has been an unusually cold and soggy April, which is not doing much to lift the spirits of New Jerseyans hunkered down during the pandemic.

It has been an unusually cold and soggy April, which is not doing much to lift the spirits of New Jerseyans hunkered down during the pandemic.
News 12’s Brian Donohue says that when he looks back on this time years from now, the one thing he will remember is the greyness. He says that it almost seems as if Mother Nature is rationing the sunshine during the quarantine – maybe in an effort to keep people inside.
Brian says that while there are so many people who are sick, dying or out of work – complaining about the weather may seem a little trivial. But he asks, “Don’t you miss talking about trivial things like the weather?”
It is not often that a New Jerseyans will see another person out in public – and when they do, people are avoiding one another to protect themselves from the virus.
The weather this weekend is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the 70s. This coincides with state and county parks reopening after Gov. Phil Murphy shut them down at the beginning of the month.
The nice weather is expected to bring a lot of people out and about – most likely to these parks. But the governor says that if too many people fail to follow social distancing guidelines this weekend – he reserves the right to shut down the parks once again.
Brian says that he hopes that May will bring better weather and happier times.
