A South Bound Brook man whose car was mistakenly repossessed twice says his lost belongings have been returned to him.
Michael Stallings says his stereo speakers and other items were missing from his 2011 Camaro when it was finally returned to him.
Stallings says that the items arrived by Federal Express Monday afternoon, sent by the company that towed away his car in March.
The car was wrongfully repossessed two times because of a VIN error made by the credit union. After the car was returned, not only were the items missing, but there was damage to the car.
Stallings has hired a lawyer to help him recover damages.
