A new video released by Hamas this weekend shows hostage Edan Alexander, a 19-year-old from Tenafly, pleading for his release.

Alexander has been held hostage by Hamas since Oct. 7, 2023.

While Hamas has released similar videos in the past, this video is the first one Alexander has appeared in.

Although the video was released this weekend, federal officials have not confirmed when it was recorded.
