A viral sensation from Japan is now serving up its signature treats in the heart of Times Square.

I’m Donut? — yes, the name comes with a question mark — officially opened its first U.S. location, offering fluffy, airy creations known as nama-style donuts.

“Nama in Japanese means raw and fresh,” said chef Karen Fodere-Gallier. “They’re very airy, fresh and they melt in your mouth.”

Customers order by checking off boxes for their picks, which range from matcha, strawberry and sake to more decadent chocolate-coated and cream-filled options.

The menu even includes savory selections, such as scrambled eggs and sausage wrapped in a doughnut.

Fodere-Gallier, who joined the brand after learning it would expand to the United States, said the mission goes beyond sweets.

“When we sell doughnut and namas, we spread happiness,” she said.

The Times Square location marks the chain’s first U.S. store after creating a social media buzz in Japan.
