Hundreds of dead fish have washed up on the shores of Forked River.
Residents tell News 12 New Jersey that the fish washed up behind their homes this week.
"All the fish were jumping up, way up in the air," says one resident. "Then about two hours later they started coming into the corner here by my house and my neighbor's house and they started dying."
There is no word from officials about how the fish died.
There were two other major fish kills in Monmouth County in August. Environmental officials said those fish died due to lack of oxygen in the water.
