Howell man charged after shots fired investigation, police pursuit and crash in Lakewood
Police say the suspect fled from officers after reports of gunfire, crashed into another vehicle, injured an uninvolved driver and was arrested after a brief foot chase.

A Howell man was arrested after a shots-fired investigation in Lakewood led to a police pursuit, a crash that injured another driver and a brief foot chase, authorities said.
Lakewood police said officers responded around 5 p.m. Wednesday to reports of gunfire near the High Point Apartment Complex.
Police said officers from the Toms River Police Department located the suspect vehicle leaving the area and attempted a traffic stop. The driver allegedly fled, leading officers from both departments on a brief pursuit before crashing into another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was not involved in the incident, was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
Authorities said the suspect then fled on foot but was quickly arrested near Chestnut Street and Vine Avenue.
Timothy Moore-Jackson, 29, of Howell, was charged with eluding, unlawful possession of a handgun, certain persons not to possess a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
He was taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a court appearance.
