If you're doing any spring cleaning, don't forget to include your medicine cabinet.
Today is National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day. Dispose RX, which makes at-home drug disposal solutions, has raised awareness for the last five years about the dangers of keeping out-of-date medications.
The Food and Drug Administration reminds everyone to not flush medicine unless it is on the flush list. Check the label.
According to a new survey conducted by Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (CHC), 63% of Americans don’t refresh their medicine cabinets more than once a year.
Some tips for cleaning out medicine cabinets include disposing medications properly, making a list of products that need to be replenished, keeping over-the-counter products out of reach of children and pets, and using organizer containers and labels to make it easier to find products.
