A series of thunderstorms are moving across the Garden State this morning.
News 12 meteorologists say the storms may produce heavy rain and intense thunder and lightning throughout the morning.
The storms also have the potential to produce localized flooding and winds of up to 40 mph.
Showers Friday will be followed by increasing sunshine. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s.
Saturday is expected to see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, with a high of around 89 degrees.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, but with a chance of a thunderstorm. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-80s.
