A record number of people are expected to travel this holiday season.

According to AAA, 119 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more to make it home for the holidays.

AAA says that 90% of holiday travelers will be driving to their destination this year.

Luckily gas prices are lower this year than they have been in the past two holiday travel seasons.

Air travel is expected to set records as AAA estimates 7.8 million passengers to fly.

DSNY has issued a winter operations advisory in effect from 2 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Saturday due to expected snow and winter weather.

Drivers are encouraged to stay off the roads.
