A long-closed bus stop at Van Neste Square in Ridgewood was demolished today.
The historic station had been shuttered for nearly 10 years.
An engineer deemed it structurally unsound, prompting the decision to tear it down.
Village officials say a traditional bus shelter will temporarily replace it. A permanent structure will be chosen later.
