Members of a Bergen County church are asking whoever stole the church?s historic bell to return it.
The bell was stolen from the Faith Reformed Church on Washington Street in Lodi. Church members were planning to showcase the bell for the church?s upcoming 150th anniversary.
Deacon Henry Hascup says he stored the bell next to a storage shed behind the church. It was last seen on Oct. 17. A church neighbor says he saw two men pull up in a pickup truck and take the bell.
Hascup says the bell weighs approximately 200 pounds, is made of bronze and is worth about $7,000.
