Not everyone spent Monday digging out after the snowstorm, as a group of students gathered at Hersh Field in Pompton Lakes for a different kind of activity.
About 13 Pompton Lakes High School students built a giant snowman at the field, using the fresh snowfall for the project.
The students spent about seven hours working on the snowman, according to information provided.
The large creation drew attention at the field as the group chose creativity over cleanup following the storm.
