Heavy rain and high winds caused some flooding in parts of Hudson County on Wednesday.

Parts of Route 3 off Paterson Plank Road in Secaucus were closed for hours due to flooding. Crews were out controlling the flooding amid heavy traffic in the area.

Over in Hoboken, a town notorious for flooding, there were surprisingly no major issues.

Hoboken Mayor Ravi says the fire department, police department and Office of Emergency Management prepared for the weather in advance.

“What we are doing right now is absolutely working. We are not seeing any flooding in the streets,” Ravi said.

The mayor says the town was able to detain more than 500,000 gallons of water in its water retention parks.
