One firefighter suffered minor injuries Monday morning as crews battled a massive three-alarm fire that tore through an IHOP restaurant along Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights.
The fire broke out around 7 a.m. on the exterior of the roof before heavy flames caused the roof to collapse.
The restaurant was closed at the time, although a few employees were inside preparing to start their shifts. No employees or patrons were injured.
Approximately 60 firefighters responded to the scene after commanders escalated the response to a third alarm.
