The weather pattern remains the same. Strong fair weather 500 miles east of our New Jersey beaches is steering very hot and humid air in our direction.

ALERT: The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for New Jersey until 6 a.m. Thursday. An excessive heat watch is in effect through Sunday evening. And an air quality alert is in effect.
The "Heat Miser" has his grips on New Jersey and it will be a while before more comfortable air returns.
The weather pattern remains the same. Strong fair weather 500 miles east of our New Jersey beaches is steering very hot and humid air in our direction. I don't think we are talking about record-breaking heat this week, but with the combination of heat AND humidity, it will feel like we are all walking around with a wet and warm blanket around our heads - while in a sauna.
WEDNESDAY: Be smart and safe in the heat. Temperatures reach into the low-90s again tomorrow. It will feel closer to 100 degrees.
THURSDAY: The day is hotter and probably more humid. I'm forecasting a heat index hovering between 100 and 105.
FRIDAY: The day remains stifling. Daytime highs around 96, but it feels like 106. Heat will continue into the weekend.
I also want to point out that there could be a few widely scattered thunderstorms popping up Friday afternoon through the weekend. Don't cancel outdoor plans, but plan for a possible storm.
COMING UP: It stays hot next week, but some relief will come Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures dip below 90. They will still remain in the upper-80s, so it's above the norm, just not as hot.
