Authorities say two women were killed in a head-on collision Wednesday on Route 563 in Washington Township.

Police say the accident happened during rush hour a little after 5 p.m. They say a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Maureen Hanna, of Pleasantville, was traveling north, and an Acura RDX driven by Latoya Sotomayor, of Egg Harbor, was traveling south when the vehicles collided near milepost 30.

Police say Hanna, 22, and Sotomayor, 36, both sustained fatal injuries.

The accident is still being investigated.
