(AP) - Commuters who ride PATH trains from Harrison's station have a new section of platform for Newark-bound trains.
They will turn right onto the platform beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday because the east end of the platform is closed because of construction.
A similar change was made to the eastbound platform last week.
The construction is part of a $256 million project to replace the nearly 80-year-old station.
Platforms will be extended to accommodate longer trains, stairs will be widened, there will be escalator access to the platforms and entrances will be enclosed in glass.
