Police are asking for help finding a group accused of attacking riders on the L train line.

Investigators say it happened early Friday morning, April 10, just minutes apart on a northbound train.

In one case, a 56-year-old man was attacked as the train approached the Sutter Avenue station. Police say he was punched and kicked, and shocked with a Taser. His bag was taken. He was brought to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

About 20 minutes later, police say the same group targeted a 30-year-old man on the same train line near the Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street stop. He was also attacked. Police say someone in the group tried to use a Taser, and another person had a knife. That man was able to get off the train and was not seriously hurt.

Police released video showing six people entering a station. Some are seen jumping over or going under turnstiles. Many appear to be wearing masks or partial face coverings.

Investigators believe that group is connected to both incidents and are now trying to identify them.

If you recognize anyone in the video, you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers.
