Gov. Phil Murphy said during Wednesday’s COVID-19 press briefing that something that isn't changing in New Jersey is the state's outdoor mask mandate.
He governor says the state isn't updating protocols to create separate rules for people who have been fully vaccinated, meaning having to still wear a mask outside when social distancing can't be practiced, regardless of who's around, and your vaccination status.

The recently released guidance from the CDC suggests masks only have to be worn outdoors when you can't socially distance and are around people you do not know.
Gov. Murphy also responded to New York's reopening moves by saying he was going to start "accelerating opening up of the state.” He says he will have more information Monday.
