Gov. Murphy announces $20M grant for New Jersey fire departments

The funds will come from the American Rescue Plan.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced that he is sending $20 million to some of New Jersey’s fire departments to help with their equipment.
The funds will come from the American Rescue Plan.
The money will be distributed among 353 fire departments across the state. It will be used to help buy protective clothing, breathing apparatuses and other equipment.
A list of the grant recipients can be found on the Department of Community Affairs website.
