Gov. Cuomo: NYC will enter phase 4 reopening Monday
New York City will enter phase four of reopening on Monday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has confirmed.
Cuomo says the reopening in New York City will mean all of New York's regions will be at the final phase of reopening. Phase four means low-risk outdoor activities, pro sports without fans and media production will be allowed.
Cuomo says for now, no indoor malls, restaurants or museums in New York City will be reopened.
The state of New York saw 776 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, a lower than 1% infection rate.
There were 10 new deaths from COVID-19 in the state. There are a total of 765 hospitalizations, down by 48, which Cuomo says is the lowest total since March 18.
Cuomo also warns about a second wave, calling it 'inevitable,' but says it is up to them on how big it will be. But for now as numbers have decreased, he says, "God bless New Yorkers, I am proud to be one."
