Gloucester County man charged with killing jogger in hit-and-run

Authorities say Emmanual Anakwah struck the man from behind in Franklin Township. The victim died at the scene.

A Gloucester County man was arrested Sunday for a hit-and-run crash that left a 35-year-old jogger dead, according to police.

Authorities say Emmanual Anakwah struck the man from behind around 8 a.m. in Franklin Township. The victim died at the scene.

Anakwah is accused of stopping briefly and leaving the crash before calling police nearly 20 minutes later.

Police say he has since been released pending a court date.
