Hundreds came out to School 21 in Paterson today for a giant sendoff for Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who attended the school as a child.
Cruz and the New York Giants will face off against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, Feb. 5.
It wasn't just Giants fans who came out to see Cruz at the pep rally, his former gym teacher even came out to support him.
Cruz even took the time at the rally to acknowledge the people who had been there for him since the beginning.
"I want to thank all of you for coming out here and supporting me all my life," said Cruz. "Some of you all have seen me since I was a little kid and you've seen me grow up."
Many in the crowd hope that Cruz will make a homecoming, sporting a Super Bowl champions ring.
