Shoppers across New Jersey are racing against the clock to pick up their last-minute gifts for Christmas. Macy's stores in Edison, Cherry Hill and May's Landing were open around the clock for those that work late, are up early, couldn't sleep or are starting their shopping late. Experts say it is worthwhile for the stores to stay open since there are already overnight employees working.Various retailers say their stores are opening earlier and closing later since sales are down this year. They say the extended hours help them try to keep pace with last year's sales.Last-minute shoppers say they have been able to find some great deals at stores.
