Police in Freehold are warning people to beware of their surroundings and keep their personal belongings close after a woman was robbed. 

They say a female victim reported her wallet was stolen in the parking lot of a grocery store.

The victim says a woman approached her as she got into her car, claimed there was a substance on the back of the vehicle and offered to help clean it.

The victim says as she got out of her vehicle, a man stole her wallet.
