Free live performances will be taking place along the Hoboken waterfront for the next few weeks.
The plays are supported by the Hoboken Business Alliance and are part of an effort to boost cultural tourism in the city.
A comedy that parodies Shakespeare plays is being presented at the Sinatra Park Amphitheater.
“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” is produced by the Mile Square Theatre of Hoboken. It is the first time it has staged a full in-person performance since the start of the pandemic.
“It really feels wonderful. We walked into the space the first day and our spirits were lifted,” says artistic director Chris O’Connor. “It felt a little weird, I have to say. You know, should we be doing this?”
The performances run through Oct. 2 and are free to the public.
