Police say a former standout high school wrestler was killed in a New Year's Day crash on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County.
According to state police, Alexander Sebahie, 21, was traveling north on the parkway around 4:15 a.m. when his car left the road and struck a utility pole.
Sebahie was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sebahie won more than 100 bouts as a wrestler at Paramus High School and received a partial scholarship to Rider University.
