It seems that summer-like weather is refusing to leave the Garden State as temperatures reached the upper-80s and low-90s Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Mercer County through Friday evening due to the temperatures.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Justin Godynick says the warm temperatures are expected to last through the weekend.
Thursday's overnight hours are expected to see temperatures in the mid-70s with some cloudy skies. Godynick says it is possible to see some rain overnight.
Friday is expected to see scattered rain showers in the morning and afternoon. There may also be periods of sunshine. Temperatures may reach the low-90s.
Saturday is expected to see mostly sunny skies, but rain or thunderstorms are possible later in the day. Those storms could last into Sunday morning. High temperatures may reach 94 degrees.
