New Jersey will battle sweltering heat conditions and thunderstorms for the rest of Monday.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that temperatures reached into the upper-90s and that the humidity made it feel as if it was over 100 degrees outside.
The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat advisory along with a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the state.
Curren says that the storms are expected to bring strong wind gusts along with lots of lightning.
Tuesday is expected to see mostly dry, sunny conditions. Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid- to upper-90s.
Wednesday should also see mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low-90s.
Thursdays could see the chance of a thunderstorm, but conditions should remain mostly sunny with highs in the mid-90s.
