Summer temperatures have officially arrived in New Jersey as the highs reached the mid-90s in some parts of the state.
Some areas of New Jersey are under an excessive heat warning. News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that residents should be cautious when out in the heat.
Wednesday's overnight hours should continue to see clear skies. Temperatures are expected to cool slightly into the mid-70s.
Thursday is expected to start off mostly sunny, but rain and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon. Temperatures should continue to be in the 90s.
Friday could also see some thunderstorms and temperatures should continue to reach the 90s.
Saturday is expected to see cloudy skies, with a chance of a thunderstorm. High temperatures should reach 92 degrees.
