There were clear skies and mild temperatures around New Jersey Friday, but bad weather is expected over the weekend.
Despite the sunshine, News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that it was a bad day for allergy sufferers due to the high amounts of pollen in the air.
Friday's overnight hours are expected to remain mostly clear with temperatures dipping into the mid-50s.
Saturday is expected to start off sunny and warm, but thunderstorms are expected to develop Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. Curren says that there is a potential for these storms to become severe.
The rainy weather should clear out by Saturday night and Sunday is expected to see mostly sunny skies.
Next week should continue to see dry weather with temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s.
