Travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport faced several delays this holiday weekend.

There were at least 235 delays at Newark airport on Monday.

News 12 was told that the delays were due to the blizzard in Buffalo, NY and the weather in other parts of the country.

Flier Nicole Jacobs said she tried to visit her family for the holiday season in Iowa but faced several delays and cancellations. She was told that she would not be able to fly out until Dec. 28.

News 12 was told customers with delayed flights were offered new flight times on Dec. 28, or on Jan. 1. They were also being offered a voucher for a flight for a later date. Customers are not able to get refunds.
