Wednesday's storm is causing problems in flood-prone areas across New Jersey. Parts of Wayne were affected as the Pompton River swelled over its banks.
During the evening hours on Thursday, the river was rising at the rate of an inch or more per hour. Late Thursday night it appeared the Pompton River had crested.
Those living in flood-prone areas of Wayne say they'll be watching the banks of the river closely overnight.
