Asbury Park saw its first completely dry weekend in months, just in time for the Fourth of July holiday.

The sunny weather brought more people to the boardwalk, but some business owners say it's still not enough to make up for a slow, rainy start to the season.

"We still haven't seen that rush yet," said Brian King, owner of Juice Basin. "We just got through the Fourth of July weekend and it hasn't come yet."

Aaron Hochman, who owns Unwind Records and Comics, added, "So far it's been good when it's nice out, but when it's raining it's not so good. Luckily, this weekend has been great."

Many beachgoers told News 12 they were just happy to finally enjoy a rain-free weekend outside.
