A fire spread across five buildings in Newark Friday morning.
Officials say the fire is one of three fires in Newark overnight.
News 12 New Jersey is told the fire began around 3:30 a.m. at a vacant building near 9th Avenue and South 14th Street and spread to two buildings to the left of it and two buildings across the street.
They say weather conditions complicated the battle against the flames. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries due to slipping on ice.
The massive blaze left hundreds without power. The Red Cross was on scene helping several dozen tenants who were displaced as a result of the fire.
There were no reports of any major injuries or deaths.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours.
Further information regarding the cause of the fire was not immediately available.
News 12 is told that fires also broke out at two other places in Newark, one on Milford Avenue and the other on Vanderpool Street. The city reports that no one was hurt in either fire.
