VIDEO: Rare fireball seen streaking across New Jersey sky

Earthquakes, solar eclipses and now a fireball…oh my!
Many New Jersey residents are buzzing about a bright fireball that was spotted Wednesday morning in the sky.
People in at least 10 New Jersey towns reported seeing the fireball streak across the sky. One resident in Bridgewater told News 12 New Jersey that their front door camera recorded the fireball sighting at 3:40 a.m.
The American Meteor Society said it also received reports of the fireball from New York, Connecticut, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

News 12 New Jersey spoke to Princeton University Professor Allan Rubin about the phenomenon. While it is not Rubin’s area of expertise, the seismologist explained just how rare the fireball was.
