A fire killed one person in Gloucester Township Wednesday night, according to fire officials.
The flames erupted after 8 p.m. at 410 North Black Horse Pike, in a structure housing two businesses and two apartments.
Officials say heavy smoke was pouring from the third floor when Gloucester Township crews arrived.
Firefighters from Runnemede and Somerdale assisted Gloucester Township in battling the flames, which shut down Black Horse Pike in both directions until it was under control.
Two families, totaling six residents, were displaced.
The name of the deceased victim has not been released yet.
