A fire has badly damaged a Passaic County bagel and deli shop.

Officials say that the fire started inside Stein Bagels and Deli Monday evening. The fire caused extensive damage inside the business, which will likely be closed for a while. The adjacent buildings also received some smoke damage.

The eatery was empty at the time, but the adjacent buildings were evacuated as a precaution.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
