The White House is reviewing a plan from the Food and Drug Administration to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars.
Scientists say menthol makes smoking addictive and appealing to young people. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that more than half of kids who smoke use menthol-based products.
