Fairview man charged with attempted murder in early-morning stabbing

A Fairview man has been charged with attempted murder after authorities say he stabbed another man multiple times during an early morning incident over the weekend.
Victor A. Soto, 60, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Police were called to Grant Street in Fairview at approximately 1:23 a.m. Saturday, March 14 for a reported stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a 60-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to his face, hands and legs. The victim was transported to HMH Palisades Medical Center, where he was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene but was quickly located by Fairview police and taken into custody.
