A Fairfield paraprofessional has been charged with abusing an intellectually disabled person at the Westport-Weston Family YMCA, according to police.
Authorities said YMCA staff reported witnessing 68-year-old Elisa Feinman, a paraprofessional, physically mistreating her client on Saturday.
Investigators said reviewing surveillance video helped lead to Feinman’s arrest.
Feinman faces charges of third-degree assault and abuse. She was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 31.
